The Summit Chinese American Association (SCAA) is a NJ non-profit organization.  Our organization was established in 2016. 

Our mission is to help the Chinese Americans in Summit to connect with each other, and celebrate major Chinese culture holidays.  Members of the community use WeChat as the primary communication tool.  WeChat is a popular social media platform used in most Asian countries, as well as globally. 

The Chinese New Year Celebration (Celebration) is an annual gathering organized by our association, attended by people from Summit and neighboring towns, and we welcome people who are interested in Chinese culture to attend. The Celebration was first produced in 2014.  Mayor and Council members of Summit have attended this event every year since inception.

In addition to the Celebration, SCAA also organizes a summer picnic in June, Moon Festival gathering in October, and small group gatherings throughout the year.  SCAA also supports Chinese culture activities at the library and at the schools in Summit.
